Newlyweds Katy Perry and Russell Brand head for the Maldives


Pop queen Katy Perry and her comedian hubby Russell Brand have ended their lavish wedding celebrations in India – and flown straight to the Maldives to start their honeymoon.

The high-profile couple exchanged vows in an extravagant ceremony at the exotic resort of Aman-i-Khás in Jaipur, Rajasthan, in front of family and friends on Saturday.

They reportedly took a helicopter to Jaipur airport on Monday and boarded a jet to the Indian Ocean nation of the Maldives.

Katy, 26, and her 35-year-old hubby confirmed the news of their wedding after the event in a joint post on their Twitter pages. The ecstatic newlyweds both wrote, ‘We did!’
